Recap: Facebook Rewards Hard-Working Staff With Trivia Team Building Event

Last night in Manhattan, we had the honor of working once again with Facebook, the social media giant, to create a raucous, laugh-filled trivia contest for their hard-working employees!

This particular event was designed to be primarily a social group activity for the office, and as such it was held offsite after business hours in the spacious private room of a pub in Greenwich Village. Upon arrival, the group enjoyed a drink and platters of food as music played, allowing everyone a chance to unwind and relax before diving into a fully-customized team trivia contest!

The group was broken into teams, and the host set the tone right away that this would be a humor-filled event from start to finish – teams were instructed to come up with funny names, would be rewarded for funny wrong answers, and were even encouraged to heckle (in a good-natured way) the other teams, in an attempt to gain a competitive advantage. Rules were announced, friendly taunts were exchanged, and we were off!

We focused on pop culture trivia, to keep the event fun and lighthearted – the group enjoyed 5 rounds of trivia about general knowledge, current events, TV shows, movies, celebrity gossip and more. In between rounds while the score sheets were graded, pairs of contestants were invited up in front of the room to participate in 1-on-1, head-to-head trivia for the chance to win prizes – and adulation!

The teams challenged each other to an impromptu dance-off before we announced the final scores, upon which the winning team was treated to a truly awesome prize: a round of shots of Johnnie Walker Blue Label!
