TrivWorks Helps Raise Funds and Awareness for the American Cancer Society

New York, New York – Since 2009, David Jacobson has been revolutionizing the event planning industry in NYC with the most unique and exciting corporate events New York has ever seen. By integrating teamwork and trivia into everyday corporate events, TrivWorks has done much to take the “bored” out of boardroom meetings. Now, David and his team are giving back to the community that has given them so much. TrivWorks, with the help of the most generous Deirdre McGuinness, is happy to be hosting an event that will raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society.

TrivWorks is dedicated to making this event, called Quizzing for Kili (for a Cure), a complete success that showcases the ACS and raises funds for the fight against cancer. All are welcome to make a donation and learn more about the services this amazing organization provides.

Deirdre McGuinness lost her mother to cancer but gained a mission, to help find a cure any way she could. Not being one to underachieve, Deirdre aimed high when she vowed to climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. Far from a publicity stunt, McGuinness made this vow simply because she could. She makes this trek to one of the world’s highest peaks in the name of every person who has lost their battle with cancer.  The journey, however, begins in NYC with donations to the American Cancer Society.

That’s where TrivWorks comes in.

Deirdre reached out to TrivWorks to help plan the event and they were thrilled and honored to be a part of it. Through their entertaining and exciting trivia based event hosting, TrivWorks is helping Deirdre McGuinness find the support she’s been looking for on her journey to help raise awareness and donations for the American Cancer Society.

On Wednesday, November 16, 2011, TrivWorks along with Deirdre McGuinness, will host “Quizzing for Kili (for a Cure)” at Failte Irish Whiskey Bar at 531 2nd Avenue (between 29th and 30th streets). This “open to all” event will include prizes, information and most of all – lots of fun while helping a great cause. The cost is $20 per person and you can build teams to the size of your choosing. Donations greater than the size of the entry fee are will be graciously accepted. If you can’t attend or donate, TrivWorks urges you to spread the word and help make this night a resounding success.

In this day and age, we all know someone who has been affected by cancer. While many have lost the battle, others fight on and that’s why the American Cancer Society continues to offer patients that fighting chance everyday through their amazing work. Please help the ACS find a cure by attending “Quizzing for Kili (for a Cure)” and giving generously to support Deirdre on her journey to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
